A brief presentation of IMATAG’s Research Team
Let’s start by introducing ourselves, shall we? We are a small team of researchers and PhD students working at IMATAG, in the nice city center of Rennes, France. Our job is to improve existing products, keep our ears and eyes opened on advances in our research topics, experiment with new ideas, and well.. talk a bit about it, which is what we’ll do here.
Technology has always been at the core of our business, dating from when our company was founded in 2015. We started with the idea of combining digital image watermarking with content-based image retrieval, and successfully applied it to build our traitor tracing and content monitoring products. While still being an active research subject, our interests have also extended to the topics of image captioning, text generation and semantic watermarking, retrieval-augmented generation, detection of AI-generated content, and more generally authentication of text, image, video and voice content.
That’s a lot for a small team! ;)
We’ll be happy to take you along our journey to discover and experiment with those new technologies, and share our pains, joys, but mostly just our thoughts on these topics.
